Mentorship and tutoring
The thematic complementarity of the research units attached to the IPSL has led to the establishment of a common doctoral school: the so-called “École doctorale des sciences de l’environnement d’Île-de-France” (ED129 at Sorbonne University), whose scientific fields overlap with those of the IPSL.
80% of the ED129 doctoral school’s students are affiliated with IPSL laboratories. This regional school brings together doctoral studies in climate sciences, on climate change and its environmental impacts.
The Climate Graduate School will soon start mentoring and tutoring actions, including:
- Group mentoring: preparing PhD and post-doc applications, writing a research project, preparing an application for an academic position; adapting an academic CV for the private sector; etc.
- Individual mentoring
- Tutoring by IPSL doctoral students for students who have difficulty in their Masters.
