Prédoc IPSL CGS

Applications are now open for the IPSL Climate Graduate School Pre-doctoral Programme (Prédoc).

The EUR IPSL Climate Graduate School (IPSL CGS) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its Prédoc Programme, a unique three-month pre-doctoral programme dedicated to Master 2 (M2) students who have been accepted for a PhD within one of the IPSL laboratories.

Designed as a bridge between the Master’s degree and the doctoral journey, the Prédoc programme provides selected students with the opportunity to prepare for their PhD under optimal conditions. The programme takes the form of a part-time contract, usually starting on 1 October, and is built around a personalized training plan established jointly with the student’s PhD supervisor and an academic tutor appointed by the IPSL CGS Training Committee.

During these three months, as a participants you can:

    • reinforce you training according to the prerequisites necessary for the thesis by taking courses offered by the M2 or the doctoral school;
    • refine your thesis subject and the work to do with their thesis director;
    • start your bibliographic study;
    • initiate your network by interacting with other M2 students;
    • settle in France in better conditions (foreign students);
    • finalize a publication related to your master’s degree.

The programme aims to facilitate the transition to doctoral research while strengthening scientific, methodological and transferable skills within the IPSL research community.
